Launch of the Kiribati NDC 3.0. This side event is to inform and socialise the Kiribati NDC 3.0 with the regional and international community attending COP31. This side event will showcase Kiribati's transition from climate ambition to practical implementation through its NDC 3.0. It will highlight national priorities for accelerating low-emission, climate-resilient development while addressing the unique challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS), including limited resources, capacity constraints and vulnerability to climate impacts. The event will present Kiribati's strengthened approach to NDC implementation, including improved institutional coordination, investment planning, monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV), and tracking of mitigation actions and progress towards national targets. It will also highlight opportunities for partnerships, climate finance, technology transfer and capacity building to support implementation across key sectors. The session will bring together government, development partners, Pacific stakeholders, private sector and other partners to share experiences, identify opportunities for collaboration, and demonstrate how Kiribati's NDC 3.0 can translate national commitments into measurable action and tangible development outcomes.
