Discover Pacific-led climate projects by established experts and emerging researchers, showcasing traditional knowledge and innovative solutions driving local resilience and shaping global climate action The Pacific Academy of Sciences is a recently established, regional platform dedicated to connecting, championing and empowering Pacific scholars across disciplines to advance Pacific knowledge and science for transformative local and global impact. This side event showcases curated Pacific-led climate projects and activities driven by our Fellows established Pacific experts and by early-career researchers within our flagship Pacific Futures programme, which is supporting the next generations of Pacific scientists. Our people are driving innovative climate solutions across scientific disciplines and sectors. Presenters will highlight how our Academy's capacity-building and technology activities, and research on climate mobility, oceans and climate health exemplify Pacific leadership in science and innovation to inform policy, strengthen community resilience, elevate Pacific voices in global climate forums, and generate knowledge that benefit communities across our region and beyond. By featuring Pacific scientific leaders and indigenous innovation, this event demonstrates that Pacific people are not only on the frontlines of climate change but are also at the forefront of climate science excellence.
