To showcase Vanuatu's climate leadership, innovative solutions and implementation achievements while strengthening partnerships that accelerate climate action, resilience, sustainable development and investment across the Blue Pacific. The side event aims to showcase Vanuatu's climate leadership, innovative solutions and implementation achievements while strengthening partnerships that accelerate climate action, resilience, sustainable development and investment across the Blue Pacific. Vanuatu continues to demonstrate global leadership on climate change despite being among the countries most vulnerable to its impacts. Through bold international advocacy and practical national action, Vanuatu has become a leading voice for climate justice, resilient development and innovative climate solutions.  At COP31, Vanuatu will showcase how this leadership is being translated into concrete national action through strengthened climate governance, implementation of its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0), locally led adaptation, renewable energy, ecosystem restoration, early warning systems and innovative partnerships that strengthen resilient communities.  The side event will also highlight the outcomes of the inaugural Pacific Innovation Forum on Climate Change and Environment (PIFCE), hosted by Vanuatu in July 2026. The Forum established a regional platform dedicated to advancing climate innovation, technology, partnerships and knowledge sharing across the Blue Pacific, through the adoption of the PIFCE Resolution.  Building on the momentum generated through PIFCE, the event will demonstrate how Vanuatu is translating global climate commitments into practical, community-driven actions that deliver resilience, sustainable development and long-term environmental stewardship.
